Perplexity has launched a completely overhauled version of its macOS application, effectively replacing the previous software with a native Mac experience designed to showcase the company’s Personal Computer agentic feature. Perplexity first introduced Personal Computer back in April, and as of today, the company confirms that all Pro and Max subscribers can now use the feature through this updated Mac app.
Personal Computer is now open to all users within the new Perplexity Mac application. It represents an advanced version of the earlier Perplexity Computer functionality, operating across any Mac to handle tasks that span local files, native Mac apps, the web, and Perplexity’s secure servers.
The original app remains available for the moment, but Perplexity has indicated it will be phased out shortly. Users can download the new Perplexity Mac app now.
