With the highly anticipated Destiny 2 Renegades expansion arriving on December 2, 2025, Bungie has unveiled a comprehensive set of adjustments for Exotic armor. These changes aim to refresh the gameplay experience and address long-standing community feedback. The expansion itself marks a return to Mars, introducing new story missions, the Lawless Frontier activity, an entirely new Blaster weapon category, the Praxic Blade Exotic sword, the innovative Order system, and a completely reworked progression framework. Bungie has emphasized that Renegades is designed to resolve issues players have highlighted since the Edge of Fate era, incorporating improvements like carryover Seasonal Power, the removal of Unstable Cores, and a significant vault space increase.

Following last week’s detailed weapon update, Bungie has now released an armor-focused preview, detailing specific tuning for 18 different Exotic armor pieces. This guide covers every announced adjustment for Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans.

Hunter Exotic Armor Updates

Graviton Forfeit now enhances grenade, melee, and class ability recharge rates for a moderate duration each time the wearer turns invisible. This effect can stack up to three times, and the timer pauses while the player remains invisible. At maximum stacks, additional triggers grant a portion of Void Overshield.

Omnioculus has been updated so that granting the Beyond the Veil effect to allies also initiates their health and shield regeneration. This benefit applies exclusively to allies, not the Hunter using the Exotic.

Lucky Raspberry receives multiple improvements for its Arcbolt Grenade. The chain projectile’s lifetime is extended for better consistency against moving targets near the outer chain range. Activation time is reduced from 0.6 to 0.5 seconds after the initial sensor sweep. Maximum chain range for the initial chain increases from seven to ten meters. Additionally, the Exotic now always applies the Jolt debuff on Arcbolt Grenade hits and returns grenade energy whenever Jolt is applied or its chain reaction triggers on a debuffed target.

Orpheus Rig sees a Super duration increase from 16 seconds to 20 seconds.

Gemini Jesters now disorients players for one second, up from 0.5 seconds. The Misdirection effect also removes the HUD of opposing players for two seconds. Against PvE combatants, the disorient duration increases from two to three seconds.

Warlock Exotic Armor Updates

Nothing Manacles builds on previous adjustments to Charged Scatter Grenades. The charged version now generates four additional seekers and deals 25% more damage to combatants, with improved tracking and extended lifetime. Final projectile speed is increased, and the Exotic now spawns extra Scatter seekers on grenade kills, allowing for potential chaining.

Briarbinds now requires only four kills instead of six to maximize the Void Soul damage bonus. The Void Soul’s damage also escalates based on how long it remains on a single target, reaching up to 30% additional damage after ten seconds.

Stormdancer’s Brace grants Bolt charge for Arc ability hits while the wearer is Amplified and has Stormtrance equipped. The Stormtrance damage bonus now accumulates on hits rather than kills, with the maximum required hits adjusted to 30. The top-end damage bonus remains the same.

Winter’s Guile provides bonus melee damage on final blows, one stack per melee kill and three stacks per Finisher. Stacks cap at ten for a 400% damage increase and decay individually, lasting 4.5 seconds each. Reaching ten stacks immediately grants one melee charge and activates Warlord’s Rage upon using a melee ability, lasting ten seconds. During this state, melee regeneration and attack speed are dramatically increased, and the melee damage bonus rises to 500%. All stacks are lost when Warlord’s Rage ends.

Mataiodoxia now triggers the Stylostixis suspending burst when five Needlestorm Super projectiles hit a single target. This burst deals significantly increased area damage, positioning Needlestorm as a competitive damage option against abilities like Cuirass Thundercrash.

Dawn Chorus increases Daybreak damage by 5% and raises the total number of scorch stacks applied.

Titan Exotic Armor Updates

Arbor Warden enhances the next Barri-nade after collecting three Orbs of Power. The enhanced Barri-nade detonates to deploy three barricades in a Y formation. This interaction works with barricade modifications such as Drengr’s Lash or Storm’s Keep.

Dunemarchers now chains up to seven times, increased from four. Each chain hit grants two Bolt Charge stacks, or three with the appropriate fragment. Glaive melees can now also activate the chain lightning effect.

Ursa Furiosa correctly grants Super energy when blocking damage while the player has an overshield. Super energy stored is no longer scaled by enemy difficulty. The refund meter fills twice as fast in at-Power activities and receives a 13.6% boost in content 40 Power levels below the player.

Second Chance now spawns Void Breaches on Shield Throw final blows and grants melee energy upon collecting any Void Breach. The Sentinel Shield Super’s ranged Shield Throw attack also weakens targets while this Exotic is equipped. A previous bug preventing the anti-barrier shield throw melee from bouncing to more than two targets has been fixed.

Armamentarium provides 10% grenade energy on weapon final blows and reloads the equipped weapon whenever a grenade ability is used.

Lion Rampants now permit aiming down sights while shooting during lift.

Peacekeepers increase the Mobility bonus from 25 to 30 and restore the ability to swap-load SMGs.

Beyond these armor changes, the Renegades expansion will introduce the new Equilibrium dungeon on December 13, 2025, featuring a full 48-hour Contest Mode race. Bungie has also published the complete content calendar for the expansion. In a separate community outreach effort, the developer is surveying players about potential future content, including unvaulted campaigns, Sparrow Racing League, clan upgrades, new Gambit concepts, and NPC sidekicks, indicating a proactive approach to aligning future updates with player interests.
