BEAMTEL, a Moroccan firm specializing in 5G security and critical infrastructure protection, has introduced CyberPlatform, the nation’s first fully Arabic-language cybersecurity education portal. This initiative aims to make vital digital safety knowledge accessible to a broad audience, supporting Morocco’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its national cyber resilience.
The platform delivers simplified learning tools, hands-on workshops, and actionable guidelines designed to help individuals, small businesses, educational institutions, and government bodies better understand digital threats. It also aids organizations in complying with Morocco’s cybersecurity and data protection laws, including Law 05-20 and Law 09-08. By offering content exclusively in Arabic, CyberPlatform supports digital sovereignty and ensures wider reach across the country.
Different user groups receive tailored support. Everyday users gain practical advice for avoiding phishing schemes and protecting personal information. Small and micro-enterprises, which form the backbone of Morocco’s economy, can access security guidance often out of reach for those lacking IT resources. Public sector entities and critical infrastructure managers also benefit, while schools and universities use the platform to instill cybersecurity awareness in younger generations.
The urgency of such an initiative is clear. Recent data from Kaspersky identified 12.6 million web threats targeting Morocco in 2024, positioning it among Africa’s most heavily targeted nations. Surveys by Allianz indicate that nearly 60% of local businesses view cyber incidents as a major concern. In response, Morocco has fortified its legal and institutional defenses, achieving Tier 1 status in the International Telecommunication Union’s Global Cybersecurity Index this year.
Tibari Jlil, founder of BEAMTEL, emphasized that CyberPlatform aligns with Morocco’s national digital strategy and supports the work of the DGSSI by translating technical requirements into practical steps for non-experts. The platform not only builds resistance against cyber threats but also fosters a culture of trust in digital interactions. Its Arabic-first approach ensures that critical knowledge reaches those who need it most, reinforcing both education and autonomy in the digital sphere.
