Following the release of its popular $99 Snapic A1, Reto Project has introduced an even more wallet-friendly option: the Kodak EC35, a 35mm film camera priced at just $34.99. This is not a high-end device. With a 25mm acrylic lens, a fixed f/10 aperture, and a 1/100 shutter speed, it performs roughly on par with a drugstore disposable camera. The manual wind and rewind only reinforce that comparison. But if you’re chasing that classic disposable look, the built-in automatic flash helps you lean into the aesthetic.
Unlike the Snapic A1, the EC35 skips features like double exposure and zone focusing. It is built for simplicity, requiring almost no thought to operate. Its standout design element is the sliding lens cover, which echoes the look of the Olympus Stylus and Mju cameras. The camera is available in several playful colors: butter yellow, lavender, powder blue, blush pink, and avocado green. Each lens cover is a shade darker than the body, offering subtle contrast.
