Nvidia and Google have teamed up to offer a special cloud gaming subscription called GeForce Now Fast Pass, available exclusively for Chromebook users. This new plan provides a streamlined way to play a vast collection of games directly from your existing PC game libraries. Anyone buying a new Chromebook will receive a complimentary one-year membership, granting immediate access to this service.

Fast Pass operates similarly to the standard free version of GeForce Now, enabling you to stream from a catalog of over two thousand compatible games you already own on platforms like Steam, Epic Games Store, or Xbox. The primary differences are significant: this new tier eliminates advertisements entirely and removes the typical waiting period to start a gaming session. Users on the free plan often experience queues lasting two minutes or longer, a delay that Fast Pass subscribers can bypass completely.

The subscription does come with certain limitations. Members are allotted ten hours of cloud gaming time per month, though up to five unused hours can be carried over into the following month. This contrasts with Nvidia’s more expensive paid plans, which begin at $99.99 per month. Those premium subscriptions unlock a broader set of features, including support for higher resolutions, increased frame rates, RTX ray-tracing technology, and access to an expanded library. That larger library includes several thousand “Install-to-Play” titles, which require installation on Nvidia’s servers before they can be launched.

Google has confirmed that the one-year Fast Pass membership is now a bundled perk with the purchase of any new Chromebook. The companies have not yet announced what the standalone price for the Fast Pass plan will be once the initial promotional period ends for these users.
