The PlayStation Portal now officially supports cloud streaming, marking a significant expansion of its capabilities beyond simple Remote Play. This major update, rolling out starting today at 6PM Pacific Time, allows PlayStation Plus Premium members to stream thousands of PS5 titles directly from the cloud without needing to connect to their own console. The device’s interface has also received a refresh, introducing a new menu with three distinct tabs for easy navigation between Remote Play, cloud streaming, and a search function.

A vast library of games becomes instantly accessible through this new feature. At launch, players can stream blockbuster titles like Astro Bot, Borderlands 4, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Popular free-to-play games such as Fortnite are also included, alongside major releases like Ghost of Yōtei, Grand Theft Auto V, and the Resident Evil 4 remake. Furthermore, hundreds of additional games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog are now streamable. This extensive list includes acclaimed titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarök, Hogwarts Legacy, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered, bringing the total number of available cloud-streamed games to well over two thousand.

This public launch follows a beta test period that was also exclusive to PS Plus Premium subscribers. Alongside the headline cloud streaming feature, the PS Portal is receiving a suite of other useful updates. These enhancements include support for immersive 3D audio, access to system-wide accessibility options, and the ability to visit in-game stores directly from the device. Players can now also accept game invites and join multiplayer sessions without interruption. A new passcode feature adds a layer of security, and a dedicated network status screen provides detailed connection information for both cloud and remote-streamed games, helping users troubleshoot any potential streaming issues.
