Google has launched a new “Theme Packs” application on the Play Store, offering Pixel users a simple way to completely customize their device’s appearance and sounds with just one tap. This feature provides an all-in-one refresh, instantly modifying wallpapers, app icons, color schemes, clock designs, and audio alerts like ringtones and notifications. The initial seasonal pack, titled “Wicked: For Good!”, includes three distinct styles named “For Good,” “Glinda,” and “Elphaba.”
Users can explore and preview these theme packs before deciding to download them. Once selected, the application allows you to choose which elements to apply, such as enabling new sounds or activating the matching wallpaper. The Play Store listing displays the app with a color swatch against a purple background, identified by the package name com.google.android.apps.pixel.customizationbundle. Although earlier reports suggested access through the Wallpaper & style settings, the feature is not yet active for users who install the app today.
Currently, the Theme Packs app is compatible with Pixel 6 models and newer devices. It appeared on the Play Store on November 4, 2025. An official launch date for the theme packs has not been announced. Google’s recent update pattern has shifted away from its traditional first-Monday-of-the-month schedule, adding uncertainty to the release timeline. The company also rolled out a second security patch for October 2025 late last week, which may influence the timing of upcoming software updates.
