The recent conclusion of Envision 2025, hosted by UAE telecommunications leader du, marks a significant milestone in the nation’s ongoing digital evolution. Centered on the powerful theme “AI progress begins when leaders and technology align,” the event brought together government bodies, municipal authorities, and top technology firms to delve into how artificial intelligence and cutting-edge innovations are accelerating the UAE’s transformation across every sector.
Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Executive Officer of du, opened the conference by framing the critical dialogue around AI-powered innovation. He emphasized the technology’s potential to redefine vital industries such as healthcare, education, manufacturing, retail, and urban development. Throughout the event, real-world applications demonstrated how artificial intelligence can optimize business functions, stimulate economic expansion, and support the creation of more sustainable communities.
A central focus was placed on five foundational pillars shaping the UAE’s digital roadmap. These include AI and Generative AI solutions, featuring emerging Agentic AI applications; robust Data Centre and Sovereign Cloud infrastructure to maintain digital autonomy; Advanced Robotics and Industry 4.0 technologies transforming production and logistics; accessible high-performance computing through Mining as a Service and GPU as a Service; and scalable Cloud Computing and National Hyperscaler solutions designed for enterprise needs.
Jasim Al Awadi, Chief ICT Officer at du, reinforced the nation’s ambition to spearhead the international AI movement. He stated that events like Envision help advance the mission of building an AI-fueled digital economy that supports smarter, more sustainable societies. The conference lineup featured influential voices such as entrepreneur Randi Zuckerberg, along with senior representatives from Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, Huawei, Dell, Equinix, Fortinet, and Nokia.
