Garmin has officially entered the screen-free fitness tracker arena with the launch of the Cirqa Smart Band, a device that bears a striking resemblance to the popular Whoop band. Just as the Oura Ring sparked a wave of smart ring competitors, Whoop is now facing its own challengers. Following the Fitbit Air, the Garmin Cirqa Smart Band is the latest wearable designed to track health data without a display.
Engineered for continuous, 24/7 wear, the Cirqa offers an impressive 10-day battery life to support constant monitoring. All collected data syncs seamlessly to the Garmin Connect app, where users can review key biometrics such as heart rate, Body Battery energy levels, Pulse Ox, stress, and skin temperature. Like both Whoop and Oura, the band also provides insights into women’s health and menstrual cycles, and it integrates with the Natural Cycles app.
Despite lacking a screen, the Cirqa automatically detects and logs physical activity. Its fabric strap is built for all-day comfort and comes in seven color options: citron gray, mauve, French gray, dark olive, captain blue, French blue, and black. The band can be worn on the wrist or as an arm band, and it is available in two sizes: small/medium and large/extra-large.
A key differentiator from the original screen-free tracker, Whoop, is that the Cirqa requires no subscription fee. Once you purchase the band, you get full access to every feature without any recurring charges.
The Garmin Cirqa Smart Band will be available for preorder starting July 24 at a price of $199.99.
