Jack Black returns to the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater universe with not one, but two hilarious villain roles in the upcoming Pro Skater 3 + 4 remake. The beloved actor, who first appeared in 2020’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, steps back into the skatepark with an expanded performance that showcases his comedic versatility.
This time around, Black voices both Officer Dick and his British twin brother Constable Richard – a pair of overzealous authority figures determined to crack down on skateboarding culture. Activision revealed that Richard’s backstory involves childhood taunts about being a “poser,” which fueled his transformation into “the long arm of the law.” The clever naming convention (Richard Ennvee = R. Ennvee = “revenge”) adds another layer of humor to these antagonistic characters.
Game director Kurt Tillmanns explained the decision to expand Black’s involvement, noting the team wanted to further develop Officer Dick’s story while introducing his UK counterpart. For Constable Richard, Black adopts a convincing British accent, with the character appearing prominently in the game’s London level. Fans can catch glimpses of both performances in the newly released trailer.
Beyond the star-studded voice cast, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 arrives with exciting real-world collaborations. The skating legend recently teamed up with Taco Bell to offer exclusive in-game content through a special meal box promotion.
Mark your calendars for July 11 when the game launches across all major platforms including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Subscribers will be pleased to know it hits Xbox Game Pass on day one, while others can purchase it separately. Whether you’re nostalgic for the classic titles or discovering them for the first time, this remake promises to deliver the same high-flying action with fresh twists.
