Google has begun pushing version 4.69 of the Fitbit app for Android, marking what appears to be the final major release before the platform fully transitions to the Google Health rebrand.

When users open the updated app, they are immediately greeted with a message: “The Fitbit app is becoming the Google Health app.” A preview of the new app icon is also displayed, with the Fitbit Air featured prominently in the interface.

The focus stats section has been completely redesigned, now offering a larger, more flexible selection of metrics. Notably, users can remove the large circular Steps or Cardio load widgets to create a denser 2×3 grid layout. The update also supports multiple pages, allowing for more personalized organization.

In the Health tab, “Key metrics” can now be customized as well. This section uses a two-wide grid with large square cards, giving users a cleaner and more visual way to track their data.

Beneath the focus stats, the Log button replaces the previous FAB (for non-Premium users). Tapping it slides up a redesigned “Log manually” sheet, which now features a more grid-like interface. Temperature logging has also returned to the app. For Premium subscribers, logging can be done through the Health Coach by using an image.

On the widgets front, options have been streamlined. The only available choice now is the Steps Widget. Additionally, long-press app shortcuts have been removed in this version.

Fitbit 4.69 is now widely rolling out via the Google Play Store.
