Aurzen’s tiny trifold projector is nearly 40% off

▼ Summary
– The Aurzen Zip projector is currently on sale for $259.99 on Amazon ($140 off), or for $249.99 in gold directly from Aurzen.
– It is a battery-powered, snake-like 720p projector with 100 lumens of brightness, best used in dark environments or for smaller images in brighter rooms.
– The built-in battery lasts about 80 minutes in real-world testing and can be recharged with a power bank or wall adapter.
– The Zip wirelessly mirrors content from iPhones via AirPlay and Android devices via Miracast, supports landscape and portrait orientations, and connects to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
– A major limitation is that it cannot stream DRM-protected content from services like Netflix or Hulu without purchasing a separate $109 USB-C dongle.
Not all trifolds are worth the hype. While Samsung’s foldable phone experiment may have left some unimpressed, Aurzen’s Zip projector is a folding gadget we can actually get excited about. Right now, you can snag it on Amazon for $259.99, which is a solid $140 off the regular price. Over on Aurzen’s own site, the same deal applies, and if you go for the gold color, it drops even lower to $249.99.
Sure, the Zip doesn’t pack the same punch as Anker’s Nebula P1 or other portable projectors we’ve tested recently. But for its size and battery-powered design, it’s surprisingly capable. This snake-like 720p projector delivers up to 100 lumens of brightness, meaning it shines best in darker rooms or when you’re projecting a smaller image in a brighter space. During our real-world testing, the built-in battery held up for about 80 minutes. That’s not exactly all-day power, but topping it off with a power bank or wall adapter is quick and easy.
Connectivity is a strong point. The Zip pairs seamlessly with iPhones via AirPlay and Android devices over Miracast, Smart View, and similar standards. That means you can wirelessly mirror your phone’s screen to watch downloaded movies, scroll through social feeds, or even play a quick game. It works in both landscape and portrait orientations, and Bluetooth support lets you listen privately with headphones or pump the audio through a favorite speaker.
There is one catch, though. Due to copyright restrictions, the Zip won’t play content from Netflix, Hulu, or HBO Max out of the box. If you absolutely need to stream the latest season of Euphoria, Aurzen does sell a USB-C dongle that unlocks DRM-protected content. The price tag for that little accessory? A steep $109. You might be better off finding another workaround.
