Apple is reportedly gearing up to launch an OLED iPad Mini as soon as October, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. This would mark the most significant update for the Mini since its 2021 redesign. Rumors of an OLED Mini have been circulating for months, with Gurman previously noting last year that the device would also come with a price increase. Earlier this week, he added that AppleCare Plus costs for both Macs and iPads are also rising.
That expected price hike for the iPad Mini now seems even more certain. Apple already raised prices across its product lineup last month, including a $100 increase for the current iPad Mini. According to CEO Tim Cook, the company is responding to an ongoing RAM shortage that could persist for years.
