Leaked images from Android Headlines have given us our first look at Samsung’s upcoming smart glasses, and the resemblance to Meta’s Ray-Ban model is striking. Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Glasses, these could make their debut as early as next month at Google I/O. Operating under the code name “Jinju,” the device is expected to retail between $379 and $499, placing it in direct competition with the display-free Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2.

Under the hood, the glasses are rumored to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 processor, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX681 camera, a 155mAh battery, and bone conduction speakers. Notably, this version will not include a built-in display. That feature is reportedly being saved for a premium model code-named “Haean,” which Samsung plans to launch in 2027. The Haean glasses are expected to cost between $600 and $900, aligning them with the upcoming Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses.

If the glasses don’t appear at Google I/O in May, a launch during one of Samsung’s Unpacked events later this year remains a strong possibility. Samsung had previously confirmed a partnership with Google on a glasses project back in 2025, and the Galaxy XR headset marked the company’s first device running Android XR. Earlier this year, Samsung hinted at a 2026 smart glasses launch, but concrete details on design and features had been scarce until now. This initiative is part of a broader push by Google to expand the Android XR ecosystem, with partnerships already in place with Warby Parker, Gentle Monster, and most recently, Gucci.
