Google Photos is rolling out a fresh AI-powered virtual try-on tool, but this one doesn’t require you to browse a store. Instead, it lets you experiment with clothes you already own. By scanning the photos in your personal gallery, Google builds a digital “wardrobe,” enabling you to mix and match outfits, save your favorite combinations, and even share them with friends.

A demonstration video from Google reveals how the app organizes the clothing you’ve been photographed wearing into a neat, browsable collection. You can scroll through existing outfits captured in your photos, or craft new ones by selecting specific tops, bottoms, skirts, dresses, and shoes. Each ensemble includes a button in the bottom right corner that lets you virtually try on the look.

This marks a shift from Google’s previous experiment with AI try-ons. Last year, the company launched a similar feature, but it was limited to items you were shopping for in Google Search. The new wardrobe function, now exclusive to Google Photos, is set to debut on Android devices later this summer, with an expansion to iOS planned shortly after.
