Destiny 2 Renegades: Armor Set Bonuses & Perks Guide

The upcoming Destiny 2 Renegades expansion introduces a significant evolution in legendary armor, featuring new two-piece and four-piece set bonuses that dramatically impact gameplay. Launching on December 2, 2025, this Star Wars-inspired update delivers the Lawless Frontier activity, heat-based Blasters, and Exotics like the Praxic Blade and Heirloom Crossbow. Alongside a host of new weapons, players can acquire seven fresh armor sets from various activities, each offering unique perks that activate when multiple pieces are equipped together.

Armor sets now provide tiered benefits. Wearing two pieces from the same set grants a specific buff, while equipping four pieces maintains that initial bonus and unlocks a second, more powerful effect. You can still incorporate one Exotic armor piece into your loadout, and it’s even possible to run two different two-piece set bonuses simultaneously for hybrid builds.

Below is a detailed breakdown of every new Renegades armor set and the specific bonuses they provide.

Swordmasters Set

• 2-Piece: Balestra – Damaging a target with a Sword, Glaive, or any melee attack Exhausts them, causing them to deal reduced damage.
• 4-Piece: Stresso Tempo – Blocking attacks with a Sword or Glaive grants a brief period of damage resistance against combatants after you stop guarding.

Sage Protector Set

• 2-Piece: Combat Meditation – Sword hits return grenade and class ability energy, with a larger return if Blade Focus is active.
• 4-Piece: Blade Focus – Briefly guarding with a Sword readies Blade Focus. While active, Sword hits increase Sword damage and lunge distance for a moderate duration.

Thriving Survivor Set

• 2-Piece: Opening Act – Grenade final blows grant Heat weapons increased stability and vent speed, and grant Primary ammo weapons bonus stability and reload speed.
• 4-Piece: Room Clearing – Multiple final blows with Heat weapons or Primary ammo weapons grant bonuses to weapon and grenade stats, plus increased ammo generation for those weapon types.

Ferropotent Set

• 2-Piece: Rapid Repair – When your shields begin to regenerate, you gain flinch resistance and damage resistance for a short time.
• 4-Piece: Built From Scratch – While your ammo reserves are low, final blows with weapons provide additional ammo progress based on type. Primary ammo weapons boost Special ammo progress, and Special ammo weapons boost Heavy ammo progress.

Shrewd Survivor Set

• 2-Piece: Reflex Action – Swapping to a Heat weapon, Submachine Gun, or Hand Cannon grants a short period of increased handling and accuracy, extended by dealing damage with that weapon.
• 4-Piece: Hotshot – Final blows while Reflex Action is active grant a weapon stat bonus and increase stability, reload speed, and aim assist for Heat weapons, Submachine Guns, and Hand Cannons.

Wild Anthem Set

• 2-Piece: Fanfare – Gain increased reload speed for the bottom half of your equipped weapon’s magazine.
• 4-Piece: Suros Harmony – Reloading a weapon grants it a handling bonus and reduced incoming flinch for a short time. Weapons with the SUROS Synergy Origin Trait gain increased range instead.

New Demotic Set

• 2-Piece: Paroli – Primary ammo weapons gain a bonus to flinch resistance after sliding.
• 4-Piece: Martingale – Your weapons gain a temporary increase to handling and aim-down sight speed when an ally is defeated or when you revive an ally.
