Samsung still hasn’t finished rolling out the stable One UI 9.0 update to its existing device lineup, yet details about One UI 9.5 are already surfacing. Just hours after reports emerged that the upcoming version would introduce an App Lock feature, a fresh look at the software’s design has now leaked online.
Tipster Fahad Ali Javed shared screenshots on X that reveal several UI elements from One UI 9.5. By flashing a leaked firmware build intended for Samsung’s internal testing onto a Galaxy S26 series device, they uncovered a subtle glass-inspired aesthetic applied to certain interface components, most notably the floating tab bar.
The screenshots also show that the top header action buttons and widgets now feature shinier borders along with a drop shadow effect. This adds a layer of visual depth to the interface, making elements appear slightly raised against the background.
Beyond the visual refresh, Samsung appears to have relocated the search icon within the Phone app. Previously positioned in the top right corner of the display, it has now moved down into the floating tab bar at the bottom of the screen, aligning with the company’s push toward more thumb-friendly navigation.
Other captured elements include the Wi-Fi network credentials sharing tab bar and the system sounds volume slider, both of which display the same refined styling. While these changes are relatively subtle compared to a full redesign, they suggest Samsung is focusing on polish and depth rather than overhauling the entire interface in this iteration.
