Anthropic has unveiled a suite of connectors for its AI chatbot, Claude, enabling direct integration with major creative software such as Adobe’s Creative Cloud suite, Affinity, Blender, Ableton, and Autodesk. This move represents the company’s latest push into the creative sector, following the recent launch of Claude Design earlier this month.
These new connectors allow Claude to access applications, retrieve data, and perform actions within connected services. According to Anthropic, they are “designed to make it easier to use Claude for creative work,” offering specific functionalities tailored to each program. For instance, the Adobe connector taps into apps like Photoshop, Premiere, and Express to “bring images, videos, and designs to life” within Claude. Meanwhile, the Ableton integration lets Claude answer questions by pulling information directly from the music software’s official documentation. The Blender connector provides a natural-language interface for the 3D modeling app’s Python API. A full breakdown of every connector is available on Anthropic’s blog.
“Claude can’t replace taste or imagination, but it can open up new ways of working , faster and more ambitious ideation, a more expansive skillset, and the ability for creatives to take on larger-scale projects,” Anthropic stated. “AI can also help shoulder the parts of the creative process that eat up time by handling repetitive tasks and eliminating manual toil.”
Alongside this announcement, Anthropic has become a Corporate Patron of the Blender Development Fund, which supports ongoing development of the open-source software. This places Anthropic among other major sponsors like Netflix, Epic, and Wacom. The membership commits Anthropic to contributing at least €240,000 (approximately $281,000) annually to Blender. Blender noted that this funding will help it “keep pursuing projects independently, and to focus on building tools for artists and creators.”
