Stellantis is turning to Intel’s Mobileye to deliver hands-free driving technology across its lineup of vehicle brands, the companies revealed on Tuesday.
Beginning in 2027, Stellantis will integrate Mobileye’s EyeQ system-on-a-chip alongside a data crowdsourcing platform known as Road Experience Management (REM). REM leverages real-time information from vehicles already equipped with Mobileye hardware to construct a detailed global 3D map. According to Mobileye, this combination will allow for hands-free, eyes-on driving and intelligent lane keeping, even on unmarked roads within specified zones and conditions. Stellantis, the parent company behind brands such as Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, and Peugeot, is positioning this as a key step toward more advanced driver assistance.
