We uncovered fresh images of Samsung’s upcoming foldables hiding inside a One UI 9 beta build. The renders show both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the rumored Wide Fold, confirming key design details ahead of an expected July launch.
The Wide Fold image matches earlier leaked renders. It features a stubby, compact silhouette, a rear camera bump similar to the Galaxy S25 Edge, and a squat cover display. This isn’t our first glimpse of the device in One UI 9. Back in February, we spotted a Wide Fold animation in the same software, but that earlier leak didn’t reveal the phone’s back panel. Now we have a clear look at the full rear cover.
As for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (codenamed Q8), the image shows a device that looks nearly identical to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Unofficial renders have also suggested Samsung isn’t changing the external design much. Still, earlier leaks point to meaningful internal upgrades: a 5,000mAh battery and 45W wired charging. That means the Z Fold 8 may not be a simple refresh after all.
Samsung traditionally unveils its new foldables in July, so we still have a few months to wait. Expect more leaks to surface before then.
