Subnautica 2 has just received its first Early Access hotfix, rolling out a handful of targeted fixes and improvements based on community feedback since the game launched on Thursday.
Players booting up the game will now see several key adjustments. The crash-on-startup error pop-up has been updated for AMD graphics cards and DirectX 12 issues, offering clearer guidance and support. An infrequent crash linked to the Ping feature has also been resolved. Additionally, analytics are now enabled only after players accept the Terms of Service, and the volume of data sent to backend services has been reduced.
As a reminder, analytics for Subnautica 2 can be turned off at any time from the settings menu. The team also plans to roll out adjustments to the Terms of Service and a FAQ addressing concerns with the current version in the near future.
The hotfix may take some time to appear worldwide, and it will be available on Xbox once it clears certification.
