BEEAH Group has forged a strategic alliance with The Hashgraph Group to introduce a groundbreaking decentralized digital identity solution, marking a significant leap in secure and unified access across its diverse portfolio of services. This collaboration, formalized at GITEX Global 2025, leverages Hedera’s distributed ledger technology to establish a new standard for digital trust and privacy in the region.

Supported by The Hashgraph Association’s Enterprise Accelerator Program, the initiative will deploy IDTrust, an enterprise-grade self-sovereign identity platform developed by THG. This implementation represents a core milestone in BEEAH’s ongoing digital transformation, creating a connected and privacy-centric ecosystem that spans its operations in environmental services, energy, real estate, technology, and healthcare.

Originally established in 2007 as a waste management enterprise, BEEAH has evolved into a diversified conglomerate driving innovation across five key sectors: Environment, Energy, Technology, Healthcare, and Real Estate. These areas form an integrated framework dedicated to sustainability and digital advancement. With a presence in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, the group applies smart solutions to tackle environmental issues and foster cleaner, more sustainable urban environments.

Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH Group, emphasized the strategic importance of this step. “Our long-standing commitment to sustainability, technology, and socioeconomic progress drives us to be regional pioneers in adopting decentralized identity. This foundational move enables a seamless digital journey for our employees, customers, residents, and partners, fully aligning with the UAE’s vision for intelligent and sustainable governance.”

The rollout will occur in phases, starting with internal operations such as employee and partner identity management. Subsequent stages will extend the solution to all BEEAH entities and projects, including smart real estate communities, healthcare facilities, and environmental service platforms. Future expansions may involve collaborations with government bodies and city-wide stakeholders across the UAE, positioning BEEAH as a regional benchmark for decentralized identity implementation.

Kamal Youssefi, President of The Hashgraph Association, highlighted the broader implications of the partnership. “Supported by the Hedera Governing Council, our mission is to accelerate Hedera’s global adoption. The MENA region consistently demonstrates leadership in deploying advanced digital technologies through strategic alliances like this one. This project reaffirms Hedera’s enduring commitment to empowering enterprises and government institutions not only in the UAE but throughout the wider MENA area and globally. We are proud to support BEEAH in this transformative endeavor that promises to shape decentralized identity adoption on a worldwide scale.”

By utilizing the IDTrust platform, BEEAH will deliver a secure, privacy-first self-sovereign identity framework that ensures trust for individuals, businesses, and government entities. The platform facilitates efficient digital authentication across the entire BEEAH ecosystem. Developed and managed by THG, IDTrust employs quantum-secure cryptography to verify identities, enhancing trust and authenticity for credential issuance, KYC checks, bank account openings, medical record sharing, proof of residence, title deeds, academic certifications, driver’s licenses, employee authentication, and access to e-government services.

Stefan Deiss, Co-Founder and CEO of The Hashgraph Group, remarked on the platform’s capabilities. “Our IDTrust solution provides enterprises and government institutions with a privacy-first self-sovereign identity framework that empowers both individuals and organizations. Partnering with BEEAH Group allows us to establish a new benchmark for secure, decentralized identity in enterprise applications.”

Market analysis from Grandview Research estimates the global decentralized digital identity market was valued at approximately $647.80 million in 2022, with projections soaring to $102 billion by 2030. This represents a compound annual growth rate of 90.3% from 2023 to 2030.

BEEAH’s adoption of this technology will serve as a regional exemplar for Hedera-powered identity systems, illustrating how sustainable technology can create new possibilities for digital governance and service innovation.
