At the prominent GITEX Global 2025 event in Dubai, e& UAE, the leading telecommunications division of the global technology group e&, revealed a major strategic alliance with AMD aimed at speeding up the adoption of artificial intelligence and driving digital transformation throughout the United Arab Emirates. This collaboration places a significant emphasis on advancing sustainability, ensuring robust security, and fostering local skills development.

The new agreement expands on e& UAE’s current deployment of AMD EPYC processors and will investigate the integration of AMD Instinct GPUs along with the ROCm software platform. The goal is to create highly secure and scalable AI infrastructure. Both organizations will also assess adaptive edge AI solutions suitable for telecommunications and enterprise use cases, in addition to leveraging AMD Ryzen AI processors to improve AI experiences for end-users.

Marwan Bin Shakar, Acting Chief Technology and Information Officer at e& UAE, stated that the company is dedicated to building AI systems that are open, secure, and fully aligned with the UAE’s digital transformation strategy. He emphasized that working with AMD enables the design of a secure and efficient AI infrastructure that lowers costs, boosts energy efficiency, and shortens the timeline from pilot testing to full-scale production.
