Adobe has officially launched its AI agents for Adobe Experience Platform alongside the general release of AEP Agent Orchestrator, a platform layer designed to manage and customize AI agents from both Adobe and third-party providers. This rollout follows a preview showcased at the Adobe Summit earlier this year, with major brands like The Hershey Company, Lenovo, and PGA Tour already leveraging these tools in advance of public availability.
At the core of AEP Agent Orchestrator lies a sophisticated reasoning engine that blends decision science with advanced language models to enable dynamic and adaptive reasoning. This system interprets user intent from natural language inputs and determines which specific agents to activate as part of a coordinated plan. The outcome is a series of contextually relevant, goal-oriented automated actions, with the flexibility for human refinement through a “human-in-the-loop” approach.
Among the newly available AI agents are several specialized tools built to enhance marketing and customer experience operations:
The Audience Agent assists teams in rapidly constructing audience segments tailored for personalization campaigns. By analyzing diverse customer data, including cross-channel engagement, it recommends and generates high-value audiences aligned with organizational KPIs.
Journey Agent, integrated within Journey Optimizer, supports the creation and orchestration of customer journeys across web, mobile, app, and email channels. It designs pathways based on predefined goals, optimizes touchpoints by identifying areas like customer drop-off, and uncovers actionable insights to refine interactions.
Experimentation Agent empowers teams to formulate new optimization hypotheses, such as improving website experience, analyze causal impacts, and predict conversion rates or performance lift. This tool is accessible via the Journey Optimizer Experimentation Accelerator.
Data Insights Agent simplifies the process of gathering intelligence from organizational signals, allowing teams to visualize, forecast, and address customer experience initiatives. It is available in Adobe Customer Journey Analytics and other enterprise applications.
Site Optimization Agent offers continuous support for website management by automatically detecting issues that affect customer engagement, including broken backlinks or underperforming pages.
Product Support Agent enhances issue resolution for Adobe users by drawing from multiple knowledge sources and organizational data to maximize the value of enterprise applications. It integrates troubleshooting support, case creation, and tracking directly into user workflows.
Looking ahead, Adobe Experience Platform Agent Composer will soon provide an interface for businesses to customize and configure AI agents according to brand guidelines and policy controls. New developer resources, including an Agent SDK and Agent Registry, will facilitate the building, extension, and orchestration of agentic applications. Additionally, the Agent2Agent protocol will enable multi-agent collaboration.
Adobe has also forged new agentic AI partnerships with industry leaders such as Cognizant, Google Cloud, and Omnicom, ensuring seamless workflow execution and tailored customization across various sectors and use cases.
