Apple hikes Apple Music and Apple One subscription prices

▼ Summary
– Apple raised Apple Music’s Individual plan price from $10.99 to $11.99 per month, citing rising licensing costs.
– Family and Student plans also increased: Family to $19.99 (from $16.99) and Student to $6.99 (from $5.99).
– Apple One bundle prices increased for Family ($27.95, up from $25.95) and Premier ($39.95, up from $37.95), while Individual remained unchanged at $19.95.
– This is Apple Music’s first price hike in almost four years, following a previous increase in October 2022.
– Despite the hikes, Apple Music remains cheaper than Spotify, which raised its prices earlier this year.
Apple has quietly raised the price of Apple Music and select Apple One bundles starting today, affecting subscribers in the United States and several other countries. The Individual Apple Music plan now costs $11.99 per month, a one-dollar increase from the previous $10.99 rate.
The company confirmed the move in a statement to 9to5Mac, attributing the change to industry-wide cost pressures. “As a result of rising licensing costs, Apple Music is increasing its subscription price beginning today,” Apple said.
Here is a full breakdown of the new monthly pricing for Apple Music and Apple One as of today:
Apple Music
- Individual: $11.99 (previously $10.99)
- Family: $19.99 (previously $16.99)
- Student: $6.99 (previously $5.99)
Apple One
- Individual: $19.95 (unchanged)
- Family: $27.95 (previously $25.95)
- Premier: $39.95 (previously $37.95)
These adjustments come on the heels of Spotify’s own price hikes earlier this year, a move Apple previously mocked on social media. Despite today’s increases, Apple Music still undercuts Spotify’s premium tier on price.
This marks the first time Apple has raised Apple Music subscription costs in nearly four years. The last increase occurred in October 2022, when the Individual plan jumped from $9.99 to $10.99, and Apple One prices were also adjusted at that time.
In October 2023, Apple increased the prices of Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and Apple News+, which also affected the corresponding Apple One bundles. Then, in August 2025, Apple TV+ saw another price hike, though Apple One pricing remained unchanged until now.
