A Finnish neurotechnology firm has secured $1.9 million in new investment to advance its unique approach to neurowellness. Audicin, founded by an all-female team, leverages brainwave entrainment through engineered background audio to help regulate the nervous system for improved focus, sleep, and recovery. This latest funding round, which includes backing from Oura Health co-founders and a grant from Business Finland, brings the company’s total capital raised to roughly $3 million.

Unlike apps that demand active participation, Audicin’s core technology operates passively. Its audio sessions are designed to play in the background during daily activities, using principles from music neuroscience and auditory engineering to gently guide the listener’s state. This method requires no dedicated attention, making it suitable for integration into work, travel, or rest periods. The company also offers an SDK for third-party apps, called Audicin for Apps, enabling other digital health and wellness platforms to incorporate its audio protocols. This integration can be triggered by biometric data from wearables like Oura or Apple Watch, specific times, or in-app events, all without needing extra hardware.

A significant portion of the new capital will accelerate the commercial rollout of several products. This includes the company’s mobile application and its SDK. Notably, Audicin is also developing a dedicated hardware product for a specialized market: a standalone Sleep Headband. This device is engineered for secure environments where personal mobile phones are prohibited, such as certain healthcare and defense facilities. The headband functions offline, delivering pre-loaded recovery programs based on low-frequency brainwave protocols without any connection to a smartphone.

The company reports early commercial interest across defense, human performance, and general wellness sectors. The fresh investment will fuel further product development and the broader commercialization strategy for its app, SDK, and this new wearable device.
