Google’s next-generation smart speaker finally has a concrete launch date. According to a Best Buy Canada product listing, the Google Home Speaker will arrive on June 25, 2026. That date does not appear on the U.S. version of the retailer’s site, and the Google Store has not yet been updated. Spring officially ends on June 21, so Google is missing that window by just a few days.

The device was first teased during Made by Google 2025 last August, with additional details shared in October. It follows the recent releases of the Pixel 10a and Fitbit Air. By now, the hardware is likely finalized. The real challenge appears to be software. Gemini for Home remains part of the Early Access program, and that is presumably the holdup.

Since March, Google has been updating the preview experience on existing speakers and displays roughly three to four times per month. Those updates suggest the company is polishing the voice assistant before a broader rollout.

Pricing is set at $99.99. The speaker will come in four colors: Berry (pink/red), Hazel (black/gray), Jade (light green), and Porcelain (beige/white). The design wraps fabric around the entire body, leaving only the base exposed. That base houses a ring of status lights and a microphone mute switch.

A major new feature is the ability to pair two Google Home Speakers with the Google TV Streamer for a home theater setup. You will also be able to use stereo pairing and group the new speaker with existing Nest speakers for multi-room audio.

This marks Google’s first standalone speaker since 2020. It will launch in 19 countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
