Fujifilm has unveiled the X-T30 III, the latest version of its popular entry-level mirrorless camera, bringing meaningful upgrades like a dedicated Film Simulation dial and 6.2K video recording while retaining the proven 26.1-megapixel sensor.

Rather than a total redesign, this model focuses on refining the user experience. The most noticeable physical change is the replacement of the mode dial with a Film Simulation dial, giving photographers immediate access to twenty different film stock looks. This includes various black and white profiles for creative expression. Users can also save three custom positions on the dial, allowing for personalized recipes that adjust film grain, color tone, and saturation.

While the X-T30 III remains a powerhouse for still photography with a continuous shooting speed of up to 20 frames per second, its new X-Processor 5 unlocks significant video improvements. It now captures 10-bit 6.2K video at 30fps, a substantial step up. For other resolutions, it shoots 4K at 60fps and can record 1080p Full HD at an impressive 240fps for smooth slow-motion sequences.

The camera does not feature in-body image stabilization, a feature reserved for higher-end models like the X-T50. However, autofocus performance sees a boost with faster acquisition and improved subject tracking. The system can prioritize a subject’s face and eyes and uses AI to recognize and follow various subjects, including animals, birds, vehicles, and even drones.

Battery life has been improved, with the camera capable of taking approximately 425 shots in its Economy Mode, which conserves power by reducing autofocus and LCD performance. The built-in pop-up flash from previous models is retained. For those who enjoy physical prints, the X-T30 III can connect wirelessly to Fujifilm’s Instax Link printers, automatically cropping photos to fit the company’s square and wide instant film formats.

The Fujifilm X-T30 III is scheduled to begin shipping in November 2025. It will be available for pre-order at a starting price of $999.95 for the body only, offered in three color variations: all black, black and silver, and black and charcoal silver. A kit bundle featuring the new XC 13-33mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS lens will follow in mid-December 2025 for $1,149.95.
