Marshall has officially unveiled the Heston 60 soundbar, a more compact and affordable alternative to its flagship Heston 120 model. Priced at $700 or £500, this new audio solution arrives in both black and cream finishes, targeting users who seek premium sound without the larger footprint. Designed to compete directly with models like the Sonos Beam, the Heston 60 brings Marshall’s signature audio quality into a more space-conscious package.
Despite its smaller size, the Heston 60 doesn’t skimp on performance. It supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio formats, ensuring an immersive listening experience whether you’re watching movies or streaming music. The soundbar houses two woofers and five full-range drivers, powered by seven Class D amplifiers that deliver a total output of 56W. While it may not match the driver count of its bigger sibling, the Heston 60 is engineered to deliver rich, detailed sound in a more modest form factor.
Connectivity is a major strength of the Heston 60. It features an HDMI 2.1 eARC port for seamless TV integration, alongside Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio support, Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm aux input, RCA jacks, and USB-C. Wireless streaming is fully supported through Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect. Users can switch between inputs automatically, via the device itself, or through the companion app, offering flexibility in how you manage your audio sources.
The soundbar includes multiple sound modes, Movie, Music, Night, and Voice, allowing listeners to tailor the audio profile to their preferences. Although it lacks the tactile knobs found on the Heston 120, it still offers a full physical control panel, ensuring ease of use without relying solely on digital interfaces.
Marshall also introduced the Heston Sub 200, a $600/£430 wireless subwoofer designed to complement both Heston soundbars. Equipped with dual 5.25-inch drivers and a 120W Class D amplifier, it promises to add deep, powerful bass to any setup. Available in matching black and cream finishes, the subwoofer is positioned as an ideal partner for the Heston 60, creating what the company describes as a “power couple” for home audio enthusiasts.
Both the Heston 60 soundbar and Heston Sub 200 will be available starting September 23.
