The next Expedition window is nearly here, marking the third major departure for players. This phase introduces a significant shift in how participants earn Skill Points. Instead of being tied to total stash value, points will now be awarded based on the damage dealt throughout the five-day event window. This change aims to create a more active and engaging challenge for all Raiders, whether they are seasoned veterans or embarking on their first journey.

Preparation begins with your caravan, which must be completed before you can sign up. Remember, finishing your caravan does not automatically enroll you. You must actively sign up once the window opens. The event starts on April 28 at 13:00 CEST and runs for five days, concluding with an automatic departure for all registered players on May 4 at 09:00 CEST. We are also implementing a new last call’ feature for those who miss the initial sign-up period.

Expeditions represent a personal progression system that must be completed sequentially. You can work on your caravan at any time between scheduled windows, but the Expedition itself can only be finished during an official departure period. The process involves several key steps. First, ensure your caravan is ready. When the window opens on April 28, you must formally sign up. Then, focus on completing the new damage-based challenge to earn up to five Skill Points. Players on their second or third Expedition who missed points previously can engage in a catch-up mechanic. Finally, all signed-up players will depart together on May 4.

The core change for this Expedition is the replacement of the stash value objective with a damage challenge. To earn the maximum of five Skill Points, players must deal damage using any weapon or gadget against any target, excluding the practice range. This challenge is available to all players with a completed caravan and must be finished within the five-day window. The separate catch-up system for missed points from prior Expeditions remains tied to stash value, requiring 300,000 coins or equivalent value per Skill Point. However, you must complete the new damage challenge first to unlock this catch-up option.

Additionally, Trials will be available throughout this Expedition window, concluding at the same time as the departure. This schedule differs from previous seasons, where Trials marked the start of a new season.

We implemented these changes because we believe grinding for pure monetary value isn’t the most compelling gameplay. Shifting to damage-based objectives and integrating Trials provides more freedom and variety. We want to encourage players to use their loot actively during the event, rather than simply hoarding it. Our goal is to make Expeditions a fun and fair challenge that keeps the community engaged across all five days.

Expedition rewards are tied directly to your personal progression tier. First-time participants earn rewards from the first Expedition set, while those on their second or third journey earn corresponding rewards. Permanent account rewards include exclusive cosmetics like the evolved Patchwork outfit, new toggles, and an upgraded Expedition Indicator icon. Functional bonuses grant +12 stash space per completed Expedition and between zero to five Skill Points, with a catch-up option for veterans. Players can also earn consecutive buffs for XP, material gathering, and repair value increases, though these reset if an Expedition window is missed.

The new last call feature offers a final opportunity for players with completed caravans who missed the sign-up window. Upon their next login, they will receive a prompt for a last-chance sign-up, allowing them to depart without completing the damage challenge, though they will not earn Skill Points.

Completing this third Expedition will fully unlock the Patchwork outfit. The fourth Expedition will introduce the first stage of an entirely new cosmetic set. Moving forward, we are committed to refining this system based on player data and feedback. We are actively reviewing reward structures to ensure they feel meaningful and reflect player achievement. We also understand concerns about progression resets and are evaluating what elements should carry over between future Expeditions.
