The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has rolled out a new flexible payment program called “The Authority at Your Service,” allowing residents to spread their service fees over time using credit cards from ten major local banks. This initiative, introduced during GITEX Global 2025, is designed to help customers manage their finances more effectively by breaking down larger payments into manageable monthly amounts.
To qualify for the installment plan, the total service fee must be AED500 or more. Once eligible, customers can choose repayment periods that suit their budget, ranging from three months up to a full year. A key advantage is that the plan carries a zero percent profit rate, making it a cost-effective option for spreading payments. The exact terms will depend on the specific conditions set by each participating bank.
Applying for the easy payment plan is straightforward. Credit card holders have several options: they can call their bank’s customer service center, use the bank’s online or mobile banking platforms, or take advantage of direct installment features available specifically for Visa cardholders. This variety of application methods ensures the process is accessible to everyone.
Ten prominent local banks and financial institutions are partnering with the ICP on this program, in addition to Visa International. The participating banks are First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Emirates Islamic Bank, Emirates NBD, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Sharjah Islamic Bank, Mashreq Bank, RAKBANK, and Commercial International Bank. This wide network offers extensive coverage for residents across the Emirates.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, the ICP’s Director-General, stated that the initiative is a core part of the authority’s strategy to implement modern financial solutions. He emphasized that adopting such innovative payment methods aligns with technological progress and helps achieve superior levels of efficiency and service transparency. The goal is to provide options that reduce financial pressure on individuals.
He further explained that this new payment plan helps customers handle their financial obligations more comfortably. It also supports the broader aims of the Year of Community 2025 by introducing payment solutions that alleviate financial strain, improve overall quality of life, and increase customer happiness and satisfaction with government services.
Major General Ahmed Mayouf Al Amri, Acting Director-General of Support Services at the ICP, added that giving customers the choice to pay in installments directly supports the authority’s vision. He noted that flexible and creative payment options are crucial for enhancing the customer experience, making interactions with the ICP smoother and more positive across all service channels.
