A new Moroccan startup has successfully raised $2.1 million in seed funding to advance its vision of creating the nation’s first comprehensive super app. Founded by Mohamed El Ghaissani earlier this year, Done.ma is designed to bring together a wide range of everyday services into a single digital platform. Users will be able to access food delivery, online shopping, quick commerce options, urban transport solutions, and financial tools all through one integrated application.

At present, the platform operates across eight regions in Morocco, collaborating with more than 1,000 retail and restaurant partners and supported by a network of 500 delivery personnel. The company employs a team of 90 people and intends to use the newly acquired funds to broaden its reach into other major urban centers throughout the country. Investment will also focus on enhancing logistics capabilities, expanding the product lineup, including marketplace features, buy-now-pay-later offerings, and Done Stores, and promoting broader digital participation by creating employment opportunities and improving service accessibility.

El Ghaissani emphasized that the core mission of Done.ma is to streamline daily routines for Moroccans while demonstrating that local innovators can produce technology that stands up to international standards. This expansion effort supports Morocco’s broader national digital strategy, which aims to achieve widespread digital inclusion by the end of the decade.

The timing of this funding round coincides with promising projections for the super app sector across the Middle East, North Africa, and broader African markets. Industry analysts anticipate that this market could exceed $30 billion by 2030, offering Done.ma a significant opportunity to capitalize on regional growth and help position Morocco as an emerging technology hub.
