Businesses navigating the complex web of global privacy laws now have a powerful new ally. Privado.ai has launched a suite of AI-driven capabilities designed to fully automate the creation of privacy assessments and data maps. This innovation arrives as regulatory bodies intensify their scrutiny of how companies handle personal data, making robust compliance programs more critical than ever.
The centerpiece of this release is the Agentic Assessment solution. This system employs sophisticated AI agents to analyze a company’s documentation and autonomously populate entire privacy assessments. Where privacy teams once faced delays of weeks waiting for stakeholders to complete manual questionnaires, the process can now be finished in a matter of hours.
Vaibhav Antil, CEO of Privado.ai, explained the practical impact. “Stakeholders can now import their relevant documentation and have the AI populate complete assessments in minutes. They can then immediately validate the AI’s findings, which are backed by clear reasoning and cited evidence. This allows privacy teams to receive finalized, auditable assessments almost instantly, eliminating project bottlenecks.”
The announcement also includes a major overhaul of the company’s data mapping tools. While many organizations use discovery tools to scan their systems, they often still rely on cumbersome questionnaires to build the data maps needed for compliance reporting. This manual approach struggles to keep pace with modern technology stacks and evolving regulations.
To solve this, Privado.ai is introducing Dynamic Data Map capabilities. This solution aims to deliver what it calls the most complete and automated data mapping available. Building on its existing ability to scan code, websites, and mobile apps, the platform now adds two powerful real-time features.
The first is runtime software scanning, which integrates with application monitoring tools like Datadog and Dynatrace. This provides a live view of where every piece of personal data travels within internally developed software. The second is automated third-party scanning, which uses API integrations to map data flows within popular CRM, HR, procurement, and marketing solutions.
Prashant Mahajan, CTO of Privado.ai, highlighted the limitations of the old method. “Questionnaire-based data mapping is no longer sufficient. Our new Dynamic Data Maps, combined with the Agentic Assessments that scan documentation, ensure no data mapping information is missed.”
The Agentic Assessment feature itself is a significant leap forward. Stakeholders are no longer burdened with manually reviewing documents or filling out forms. They simply provide the relevant files, such as data flow diagrams, technical specifications, or project proposals, and the AI agents do the rest. The system uses a contract agent to build an inventory and extract key details from third-party agreements, while the assessment agent populates a wide range of privacy evaluations.
These assessments can be customized using pre-built or custom templates for various needs, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), vendor risk analyses, and AI risk assessments. Every finding generated by the AI is accompanied by its reasoning and evidence, allowing for quick verification by both stakeholders and the privacy team.
“With this technology, privacy teams can complete assessments in hours, not weeks,” added Antil. “The result is not just speed, but greater accuracy and auditability. This finally allows privacy professionals to get ahead of potential risks while enabling the rest of the business to maintain its agility.”
Looking ahead, Privado.ai plans to introduce a policy agent later this year to identify discrepancies between privacy policies and assessment findings. The assessment agent will also be extended to conduct deeper risk analysis.
By combining these new dynamic mapping features with its existing scanning tools, Privado.ai offers a unified system for data mapping automation. The platform enables customers to automatically build a comprehensive inventory of personal data and third parties, generate detailed data flow diagrams, populate Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs), and flag potential compliance risks, all without manual data entry.
