Brian Emerson has been appointed as the new Chief Product Officer at New Relic, where he will direct the innovation strategy and execution for the company’s Intelligent Observability Platform. This platform is trusted by 85,000 global customers to enhance business and IT operations while keeping costs under control.
Emerson brings over 25 years of expertise in product development and management, gained at several high-growth software and cloud platform firms. Before joining New Relic, he served as Group Vice President and General Manager at ServiceNow. During his tenure there, he expanded the IT Operations Management (ITOM) revenue by a factor of nine, managing everything from strategy and product execution to market entry. Under his guidance, the ITOM portfolio emerged as one of ServiceNow’s most rapidly expanding business units. Earlier in his career, Emerson held senior product leadership positions at VMware, BMC Software, and Remedy, contributing to some of the most widely used enterprise software solutions in the industry.
