CommScope and Nokia Launch Joint FTTH Solution

▼ Summary
– CommScope and Nokia are launching a joint initiative to streamline FTTH deployments in APAC by integrating CommScope’s FLX ODN terminals with Nokia’s Broadband Easy platform.
– The integrated solution provides service providers with a digitized, automated path to FTTH, improving accuracy, speed, and rollout efficiency.
– Key benefits include minimizing rework, enabling the use of less specialized technicians, and reducing unnecessary truck rolls for greater operational efficiency and cost savings.
– The solution uses AI-driven automation and quality assurance to centrally manage the entire fiber deployment process from design to operations.
– The joint solution is available now in APAC and will be showcased at Network-X in Paris in October 2025 and Telecoms World Asia in Bangkok in November 2025.
A new collaboration between CommScope and Nokia introduces a streamlined fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) solution tailored for the Asia-Pacific region. This integrated offering combines CommScope’s FLX™ ODN connectorised terminals with Nokia’s Broadband Easy digital automation platform, creating a turn-key system designed to enhance deployment speed, accuracy, and operational efficiency for broadband providers.
Andrew Bond-Webster, Vice President of Broadband APAC at CommScope, highlighted the persistent difficulties in field installations. “Ensuring precise installation and provisioning of network components has long been a challenge,” he noted. “Integrating Nokia Broadband Easy with our FLX ODN solution helps service providers achieve first-time accuracy, which reduces rework, lessens the need for highly specialized technicians, and improves rollout quality.” He emphasized that the CommScope FLX ODN platform plays a crucial role in lowering total cost of ownership, shortening time to market, and cutting down on unnecessary service dispatches.
Vimal Kothandaraman, Vice President of the APAC Fixed Networks business center at Nokia, added that Broadband Easy is reshaping fiber deployment by making it simpler and more economical. “By applying AI and our extensive fiber network design experience, and integrating the CommScope FLX ODN solution, we help operators save on costs, shorten rollout schedules, and accelerate the delivery of high-speed connectivity to millions of additional households,” he explained.
The CommScope FLX ODN plug-and-play fiber access terminals feature advanced indexing and connectorised technology, which removes the need for field splicing while supporting modular and scalable growth. When paired with the Nokia Broadband Easy platform, customers gain centralized, AI-driven control over the entire fiber deployment lifecycle, from initial design through ongoing operations. This integration results in higher-quality network builds that are not only quicker and more affordable to deploy but also future-ready.
The joint FTTH solution is now available to CommScope and Nokia customers across APAC. It will be featured at Network-X in Paris, France, from October 14–16, 2025, and at the Telecoms World Asia event in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 18–19, 2025.
