The United Arab Emirates has taken a major step in modernizing its federal workforce with the launch of an AI-powered HR assistant, designed to streamline operations and improve service delivery across government departments. This initiative reflects the nation’s ongoing commitment to integrating advanced technology into public administration, enhancing both productivity and employee satisfaction.
Developed by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), the new system aims to transform the federal HR landscape by offering faster, more accurate support to employees. It provides seamless and instant experiences, reducing wait times and simplifying complex procedures through intelligent automation.
More than 50,000 federal government employees will benefit from the assistant, which offers 108 distinct services in its initial rollout. The platform automates roughly 80% of self-service HR processes and responds immediately to the majority of inquiries concerning HR legislation. This efficiency is projected to save approximately 170,000 working hours each year that would otherwise be spent on technical and legal support.
Built on advanced AI Agents technology, the system performs tasks, processes procedures, and answers questions autonomously. It draws data from the federal HR information system Bayanati to provide precise, tailored responses through interactive written or voice interfaces in both Arabic and English, all without requiring human involvement.
A senior official emphasized that this launch aligns with the UAE’s strategic vision to leverage artificial intelligence in reshaping federal human resources. The move reinforces the country’s position as a global leader in AI adoption, showcasing its dedication to innovation and forward-thinking governance.
By continually introducing advanced technological models, the UAE government aims to elevate service standards and deliver efficient, personalized experiences that prepare its workforce for the future. This initiative not only improves daily operations but also sets a new benchmark for public sector innovation worldwide.
