An updated notice from Apple’s System Status page now marks the Apple Music outage as resolved, following a partial disruption that affected users across multiple countries. The original details are below.
For the third time in two months, Apple Music experienced a service interruption, with the company confirming the issue began at 11:40 a.m. ET. Affected regions included Australia, Brazil, France, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, the United States, and several others.
Apple classified the problem as an “outage” on its country-specific System Status pages, a label more serious than the typical “issue” designation. The company noted that “some users are affected” and may encounter intermittent problems with the service. This means that while Apple Music might still function for certain subscribers, a partial outage was actively disrupting the experience for many worldwide.
Reports also surfaced on Downdetector, though complaint volumes appeared to decline over time. This marks at least the third Apple Music disruption in recent weeks, including one partial outage that stretched beyond a full day.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if Apple releases further information.
Apple Music requires an active subscription, starting at $10.99 per month, with a one-month free trial for new users.
