A new leak from South Korean outlet ETNews suggests Samsung is preparing a significant shake-up for its flagship lineup early next year. The company is expected to launch four Galaxy S27 series models: the standard Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and the top-tier Galaxy S27 Ultra. Among these, the Galaxy S27 Pro stands out as a fresh addition designed to bridge the gap between performance and portability.
According to the report, the Galaxy S27 Pro will feature a 6.47-inch OLED display. This screen size places it just above the base Galaxy S27 but below the larger Galaxy S27+ and Galaxy S27 Ultra. The device is said to borrow heavily from the Ultra model, packing the same next-generation Snapdragon processor and Samsung’s proprietary Privacy Display technology.
This move follows Samsung’s experiment with the Galaxy S25 Edge in 2025, which emphasized an ultra-slim, lightweight design. However, weak consumer demand reportedly led the company to abandon a direct sequel this year. Instead, Samsung is pivoting toward the Galaxy S27 Pro as a 2027 release. The target audience appears to be users who crave Ultra-level specifications but prefer a more compact form factor and have no need for the S Pen stylus.
