Google is cutting the cost of its highest-tier AI subscription as it pushes Gemini deeper into the browser and mobile experience. The tech giant announced at its Google I/O developer conference on Tuesday that the premium AI Ultra plan will drop from $250 to $200 per month, granting subscribers access to the most powerful Gemini tools and increased usage limits. A new $100 Ultra tier is also launching, designed for users who want advanced features without hitting the maximum caps.

This price adjustment arrives just ahead of Gemini Spark, an AI assistant that helps users complete tasks across apps and the web. Josh Woodward, vice president of Google Labs, Gemini app and AI Studio teams, explained that Spark will integrate with Chrome and eventually display live updates and task progress through a new Android interface called Android Halo. “Soon, Gemini Spark will also be able to connect to Chrome, which will help you get more done across the web and on Android,” Woodward said.

Spark will first reach trusted testers this week, with a beta rollout for Google AI Ultra subscribers following next week. Meanwhile, Google introduced Gemini Omni, a new multimodal AI model family capable of handling text, audio, images and video. The first model, Gemini Omni Flash, becomes available starting Tuesday to Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers through the Gemini app, Google Flow and YouTube Shorts.
