Motorola has re-entered the US tablet market with a new device, marking a significant return after more than a decade. The company announced the Moto Pad, its first tablet available through a major US carrier since the Verizon Xyboard series in 2011. Alongside it, Motorola unveiled the 2026 Moto G Stylus, which introduces an enhanced stylus with tilt and pressure sensitivity.

The Moto Pad will launch on April 30th, available through T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, and Motorola’s online store for T-Mobile customers. Priced at $249.99, it comes in a single bronze green finish. Its hardware is built around a MediaTek D6300 5G processor and features an 11-inch 2.5K display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Motorola estimates the sizable 7,040 mAh battery provides up to 12 hours of streaming video. For multimedia, the tablet employs Dolby technology across its four built-in speakers for enhanced audio, with support for Dolby Atmos when using compatible headphones or external speakers. The camera setup includes a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

The companion smartphone announcement focuses on the 2026 Moto G Stylus. This device launches earlier, on April 16th, with a price of $499.99. It will be sold directly by Motorola, through major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy, and by carriers including Google Fi Wireless, AT&T, Spectrum Mobile, and Cricket Wireless. The phone features a leather-inspired finish and will be offered in two color options: coal smoke and lavender mist.

The new Moto G Stylus is equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate that can reach 120Hz. Its camera system is a highlight, centered on a 50-megapixel main camera that uses a Sony Lytia sensor and optical image stabilization. It is joined by a 13-megapixel ultrawide and macro camera, while a 32-megapixel sensor handles front-facing duties. All three cameras support 4K video capture.

A major upgrade is found in the included active stylus. Motorola rates its battery for up to 100 hours of standby and nearly four hours of continuous writing. The stylus recharges in about 15 minutes when docked in the phone. The smartphone itself is powered by a 5,200mAh battery, which the company states can last up to 44 hours. It supports 68W wired charging via USB-C and can also be charged wirelessly at up to 15W.
