Magewell at NAB 2026: Connect Any Source, Anywhere

At the upcoming 2026 NAB Show, Magewell will demonstrate its commitment to flexible video connectivity by introducing new hardware and software designed to handle virtually any source. The company’s presence in Stand C6113 will feature several key product unveilings and upgrades, all focused on simplifying complex IP video workflows for broadcast and professional AV environments. These innovations aim to provide users with powerful tools for reliable conversion, encoding, and centralized management.

A major highlight will be the debut of the Pro Convert IP to AIO 4K decoder. This multi-format device represents the next step in Magewell’s IP decoding lineup, building upon the foundation of their existing Pro Convert IP to HDMI model. The new decoder is capable of handling 4Kp60 streams, outputting them via both HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDI interfaces with support for HDR10 and HLG. It accepts a broad spectrum of IP and streaming protocols, including various NDI formats, SRT, RTMP, RTSP, and more. An integrated multi-viewer allows operators to monitor up to four HD IP streams simultaneously using preset layouts, providing essential visibility in production and distribution scenarios.

Significant firmware updates are also coming to the popular Ultra Encode family of devices. Known for their versatility in encoding HDMI or SDI sources for multi-protocol streaming, these encoders are receiving support for NDI 6.3 and the RIST protocol. The NDI 6.3 update enhances discoverability and control through NDI Tools, while RIST integration ensures robust, reliable transport of MPEG-TS streams over challenging networks like the public internet. These upgrades solidify the Ultra Encode line’s role in critical applications, from remote contribution and live production to IP-based distribution.

For system-wide management, Magewell will showcase an enhanced version of its Control Hub software. This platform serves as the central nervous system for configuring and operating multiple Magewell streaming and conversion products across one or more locations. The new user interface is specifically refined to simplify the deployment and oversight of large-scale installations utilizing Modator rackmount frames. The Modator platform itself offers a scalable, high-density form factor, packing the functionality of standalone Magewell devices into a 2U chassis that supports up to ten hot-swappable modules, ideal for expanding broadcast and enterprise video networks.
