Veeam Agent Commander: Unified AI Risk Detection & Recovery

Veeam Software has introduced a new platform designed to help businesses manage the unique risks associated with artificial intelligence. Agent Commander is a unified solution that enables organizations to proactively detect AI-related threats, protect their AI systems, and, critically, reverse mistakes made by AI agents. This tool aims to provide the control and visibility needed for companies to securely scale their AI deployments across the enterprise.

The platform results from Veeam’s acquisition of Securiti AI, merging their respective strengths into a single offering. It will be integrated into a future release of the Securiti Data Command Center, combining data resilience and data security into one operational system. The core challenge it addresses is the convergence of data risk and AI risk. As AI agents operate at machine speed, traditional security and recovery workflows are too slow, leaving organizations exposed. Enterprise controls have often been fragmented, with separate systems for protection, security, and recovery, none of which offer the unified visibility or rapid response that AI environments demand.

It brings together Veeam’s data resilience expertise with the Securiti AI Data Command Center. This integration gives teams comprehensive visibility into their AI environment, helps detect hidden risks and shadow AI, and establishes controls to protect data as it flows through AI pipelines. A key feature is the ability to perform precise rollbacks, instantly undoing unwanted actions taken by an AI agent without needing to revert entire systems.

At the heart of Agent Commander is Veeam’s Data Command Graph, a relational intelligence engine that maps live connections between data, identities, AI models, and autonomous agents across both production and backup environments. This allows the platform to identify toxic combinations where compromised identities, exposed data, and autonomous agents intersect, understanding how these risks compound and evolve in real time.

The platform delivers three core capabilities: detecting AI risk with full context, including shadow AI and sensitive data exposure; autonomously protecting AI pipelines with granular, real-time controls; and undoing AI mistakes with precision through context-aware recovery. By converging relational AI intelligence with proven resilience infrastructure, Veeam positions Agent Commander as a new standard for operating trusted, recoverable AI at scale.
