In a significant development regarding the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the FBI has released recovered footage from a Nest security camera located at her residence. The video, obtained through collaboration with private technology partners, was retrieved from residual data within backend systems. A Google spokesperson confirmed the company is actively assisting law enforcement with the ongoing investigation.

The released materials include two video clips and several still images. The first clip depicts a masked individual carrying a backpack approaching the camera. This person holds a glove in front of the lens while apparently manipulating something below it, before walking away to retrieve an item from the yard. A second video shows the same figure holding a bundle of leaves up to the camera, in what appears to be an attempt to obstruct its view entirely.

This release follows reports last week of apparent ransom letters sent to media outlets. These communications, which demanded a substantial sum in Bitcoin, were allegedly sent by a potential abductor or abductors. Authorities, however, have been cautious in linking these demands directly to the case. As of Monday evening, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department stated that investigators have not yet identified any suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles connected to Guthrie’s disappearance.

To aid the investigation, the FBI is offering a substantial reward of up to $50,000 for information that leads to Guthrie’s safe recovery or to the arrest and conviction of those involved. Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home on the evening of January 31st. The FBI has emphasized that she is considered a vulnerable adult, noting she has difficulty walking, relies on a pacemaker, and requires daily medication for a serious heart condition.
