AMD is rolling out FSR Upscaling 4.1 for Radeon RX 7000-series GPUs starting today. This update extends the latest upscaling technology to older graphics cards built on the RDNA 3 architecture, delivering sharper image quality and smoother frame rates in supported titles.
The company originally promised in May that support for FSR 4.1 would arrive on the RX 7000 series in July, so this launch comes ahead of schedule. In addition to discrete GPUs, AMD plans to bring the update to RDNA 3-based APUs as well. Jack Huynh of AMD noted that the team is “developing lightweight machine learning models to bring FSR…” to these integrated graphics solutions. Games like Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will feature FSR 4.1 support from day one.
