– A new FCC filing reveals an unannounced Apple product with model number A3577, described as “Bluetooth over-ear headphones” with an integral battery, microphone, and antenna.
– Most details in the filing are withheld under a confidentiality request, making it unclear if the device is an Apple-branded headphone or a Beats product.

A new filing in the FCC database has revealed an unannounced Apple-made Bluetooth headphone, sparking speculation about what the company might be preparing to launch. The document, spotted by MacRumors (via Aaron Perris), lists an unreleased Apple product carrying the model number A3577.
The filing describes the device under a section titled “Device Under Test (DUT) Information” as “Bluetooth over-ear headphones” equipped with “an integral battery, microphone and antenna.” It also identifies the information as “prepared for Apple Inc.,” complete with the company’s address. However, most details remain hidden under a confidentiality request, making it impossible to confirm whether these are Apple-branded headphones or a new Beats product.
Apple’s product numbering system offers little clarity, as both AirPods and Beats lines use the same broad “A####” format. For instance, the AirPods Max 2 is listed as A3454, the AirPods Max 1 USB-C as A3184, and the original AirPods Max as A2096. Recent Beats products follow suit: the Beats Studio Pro used A2924 in its FCC filings, while the Powerbeats Pro 2 filings used A3157, A3158, and A3160 for the earbuds and charging case.
Given that Apple only recently released the AirPods Max 2, this filing more likely points to an upcoming Beats product. Beats’ current headphone lineup includes the Beats Studio Pro, launched in July 2023, and the Beats Solo 4, launched in April 2024.
