The French action-adventure title from Sandfall Interactive and Kepler Interactive not only secured the coveted Game of the Year honor but also dominated the evening by winning an impressive nine awards from its record-breaking twelve nominations. The game’s accolades included Best Independent Game, Best Narrative, and Best Art Direction, solidifying its status as a critical darling. The Games For Impact award went to South of Midnight, and HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 continued its successful crossover by winning Best Adaptation.

True to form, the event served as a major platform for blockbuster announcements alongside the awards. Lucasfilm generated significant buzz by unveiling Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, a project led by veteran director Casey Hudson. Larian Studios, fresh off last year’s success, revealed their next project titled Divinity. Other major reveals included Bradley the Badger from Day 4 Night Studio, featuring Evan Peters, and Capcom’s confirmation of Leon Kennedy’s return in Resident Evil Requiem.

A particularly ambitious reveal came from Amazon Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics, who announced two new Lara Croft adventures. The first, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis slated for 2026, reimagines the classic 1996 game. A 2027 follow-up, Tomb Raider Catalyst, will send the explorer to Northern India.
