The annual tradition of digital reflection has officially arrived on Discord, with the platform launching its first-ever year-in-review feature called Discord Checkpoint. This new tool provides users with a personalized summary of their activity, conversations, and community engagement throughout 2025, joining other popular services that offer similar annual insights. For anyone deeply embedded in their favorite servers, this recap is a fun way to visualize a year of connection and chat.

The feature began its rollout to users on Thursday, December 4. However, the company notes it may take a few days for Discord Checkpoint to become available to everyone across the global user base. If you’re eager to see your own stats, there are a few simple steps to follow. First, ensure your Discord app is completely up to date on your chosen device. The process differs slightly between desktop and mobile.

On a desktop computer, you should look for a special icon located at the top right corner of your Discord screen. Clicking this will launch your personalized recap. For mobile users, the process involves tapping on your profile picture in the bottom right navigation bar. Once there, you need to look for and tap on the distinctive Checkpoint banner to access your summary.

If you don’t see the option available, there are typically two reasons. You may not have had sufficient activity on Discord throughout 2025 to generate a meaningful recap. Alternatively, you might have previously disabled the platform’s data personalization settings. To qualify for a Checkpoint, you need to have the “Use data to personalize my Discord experience” option toggled on in your account settings.

Once you successfully access your recap, Discord will assign you one of ten unique Checkpoint cards based on your yearly activity. Each card comes with an exclusive avatar decoration, a digital badge of honor for your year online. These special decorations are yours to proudly display on your profile, but they are a limited-time offering. You can wear your unique avatar accessory until January 15, 2026, giving you a few weeks to showcase your 2025 Discord persona.
