Set against the backdrop of Mars, Renegades introduces a brand-new social space called Tharsis Outpost, which will serve as the central hub for players throughout the expansion. A revamped progression system known as Orders aims to streamline reward acquisition and offer greater flexibility in loadout customization. The newly revealed trailer showcases at least six new Legendary weapons and five Exotic items, though Bungie has a history of including hidden surprises, so more may be waiting to be uncovered at launch.
Among the new Legendary weapons shown are the Uncivil Discourse, an Arc Hand Cannon, and the Modified B-7 Pistol, a Stasis Hand Cannon. Players can also look forward to the All or Nothing Pulse Rifle, which uses Strand damage, and the Refurbished A499, a Heavy Sniper Rifle. For close-quarters combat, the M-17 Fast Talker Submachine Gun and the Compact Defender Void Sidearm will offer new tactical options. Exotic gear takes center stage in Renegades, with one unique armor piece for each class and two standout Exotic weapons. Fortune’s Favor is the Hunter’s new leg armor, providing an overshield after landing a final blow at full health or following a period out of combat. While the overshield is active, weapon performance improves significantly, and once it depletes, a mobility boost is granted. Titans receive the Praxic Vestment chest armor, which includes a jetpack ability. Defeating enemies with weapons or Arc melee attacks builds Jetpack Fuel, allowing Titans to blast forward in the air, collide with foes to release a blinding explosion, and gain a temporary melee stat bonus.
Warlocks acquire the Deimosuffusion helmet, which suspends nearby enemies when casting a Rift while a Strand Super is equipped. This suspension deals damage over time and heals the Warlock simultaneously. Enemies that break free suffer extra damage, and defeating suspended targets provides additional healing. The expansion also introduces two new Exotic weapons: the Praxic Blade, a Kinetic sword capable of reflecting incoming fire, melee, and ranged attacks, and the Heirloom, an Exotic combat bow that fires high-powered explosive bolts.
