Poll: Are You Buying Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment?

With the Switch 2 gaining momentum thanks to major titles like Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, and Pokémon, the spotlight now turns to the legendary world of Zelda. The upcoming launch of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment promises to deliver another thrilling adventure exclusive to Nintendo’s latest console. This new installment continues the popular Koei Tecmo Warriors spin-off tradition, picking up after the 2020 release of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Set as a canonical story preceding the events of Tears of the Kingdom, the game features Princess Zelda alongside a host of beloved characters. Nintendo Life contributor Lowell Bell had an early opportunity to play the game at the Tokyo Game Show in September. He observed that the docked version ran impressively well, a notable improvement over the sometimes stuttering performance seen in Age of Calamity on the original Switch hardware.

During his hands-on session, Bell controlled multiple characters, including Zelda, Rauru, and Mineru, as they battled waves of Little Frox and Soldier Constructs before confronting a boss Frox in the Depths beneath Hyrule. He mentioned that he anticipated possible slowdown given past performance issues, but was pleasantly surprised by the smooth and responsive gameplay.

Since its initial announcement in April this year, Nintendo has actively promoted the game with a series of engaging trailers. As the November 6, 2025 release date approaches, many fans are deciding whether to add this title to their collection. Are you planning to purchase Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, or will you be skipping this release? Cast your vote in our poll and share your thoughts in the comments section below.
