A special God of War 20th Anniversary DualSense Controller is arriving next month, giving fans a stylish new way to celebrate two decades of Kratos’ epic saga. This limited-edition PlayStation 5 controller, revealed during the recent State of Play broadcast, draws direct inspiration from the protagonist’s iconic omega tattoo. Preorders will begin on October 3 through PlayStation Direct and other major retailers, with the official launch set for October 23.

Priced at $85, the anniversary controller adopts a more subdued look compared to the vibrant God of War: Ragnarok model released in 2022. Its design mirrors Kratos’ facial marking, featuring a primarily white body with a bold red stripe along the right grip. The right shoulder buttons and triggers are finished in red, while the analog sticks are gray and the remaining buttons are white. On the back of the controller, the special God of War 20th Anniversary logo is prominently displayed.

This commemorative controller is just one of four limited-edition DualSense models scheduled for an October release. On October 2, two distinct Ghost of Yotei controllers will arrive in stores. Both versions are white but feature more intricate artwork with a choice of either black or gold accents. The black-accented model will be a PlayStation Direct exclusive, while the gold version will be available at all major retailers.

Additionally, PlayStation is launching an updated Astro Bot-themed DualSense named the Joyful Edition. This white and blue controller showcases Astro’s smiling eyes, a change from last year’s wide-eyed design. The Astro Bot Joyful DualSense becomes available on October 30 and is open for preorder at all major retailers.

Earlier this year, PlayStation collaborated with Dark Horse to publish a two-volume retrospective on the God of War series. The hardcover box set comes in standard and Deluxe Editions, each including a protective slipcase and 320 pages filled with artwork and commentary from the development team behind the acclaimed action franchise.
